Association of California Community College Administrators
The administrators of the nation's largest higher education system manage their ACCCA membership on one connected platform.
The Association of California Community College Administrators is the foremost member-supported professional organization for the administrators and managers of California's community colleges, a system of 73 districts and 116 campuses. Aero redesigned ACCCA's website and rebuilt the membership infrastructure behind it, replacing a patchwork of disconnected tools with a single system that staff and members work in every day.
A member database cut off from its own website.
By 2020, ACCCA's website had fallen behind the organization it represented. Content was scattered, event registration and payments ran through disconnected third-party tools, and the member database operated apart from the web experience it was meant to power. Staff absorbed the gap by hand, reconciling records between systems and processing new enrollments manually, work the platform should have carried on its own. For an association with a full calendar of programs and a statewide membership, that overhead had become the limit on growth.
Where administrators join, register, and stay connected.
The site is built around a deep CiviCRM integration, so the public pages and the member database read from the same source. ACCCA's staff run the association through it daily, with Aero maintaining the machinery underneath. For members and staff alike, the platform delivers:
Join and renew online
Members sign up, renew, and pay dues through self-service accounts, with invoices and confirmations handled automatically.
Register for programs
Registration for ACCCA's professional development programs and annual conference runs through the site, with automated confirmations and group registration logic built in.
Find colleagues statewide
A members-only directory connects administrators to peers and to their region and campus representatives across California.
Reach member resources
Each member works from a personal dashboard with direct access to publications, benefit information, and members-only content tied to their active status.
Run operations in one system
Staff manage contacts, payments, communications, and event finances from the same database the website reads, with no duplicate entry between systems.
Structured for the next program.
ACCCA runs a dense calendar, from Admin 101 cohorts and the Great Deans Program to the SJCA Institute and regional events, and the platform was shaped for exactly that kind of motion. Because programs, payments, and member records share one system, launching something new means configuring it, not rebuilding around it. Aero continues to support the site as the association's work expands, keeping accessibility and maintainability where they started: as requirements, not afterthoughts.
